Houston Police Officer Jerome Moon
thought he was joining his wife, Nadine, on a Food Channel taping at her
Who Made the Cake? shop on Shepherd. In actuality, he had been selected
for the new Martha Stewart daytime show as one of America's worst cooks.
The Martha crew loved the idea of a man who can't boil water married to a
master of the pastry world. Nadine has been baking fabu cakes
professionally for years. Jerome admits to having zip kitchen skills. "He
cannot cook at all," laughed Nadine before the crew arrived.
Taping began in Houston where Jerome was surprised with the dubious honor
and then continued in New York, where the couple met Stewart and where
Jerome attended cooking classes.
They'll be back in New York later this month for more cooking adventures
for the segment that is scheduled to run later this fall.
